A new Husqvarna roadbike has been surprised during a road test. This new Swedish whopping roadster features KTM Superduke’s R underpinnings sharing with the Austrian streetfighter not only the bones (trellis frame, suspensions and single sided swingarm) but the big bore 1301cc V-Twin.
On the other hand, wisely, this will not be a mere badge engineering operation: a dedicated design inspired by the Vitpilen 701 concept (but with steroids addition) and a totally different rider’s position will distinguish this new Husqvarna super naked by the Superduke R. Husqvarna will feature a a brand new motorbike character. For instance, comparing images with revamped Superduke R testing near the new Husqvarna, is easy to note lower handlebars in pure cafè racer style far from KTM’s “motard” attitude.
We expect to see at EICMA 2016 Motor Exposition the production trim of the Vitpilen 701 and now this flagship naked also. Nevertheless don't forget that likely during the next 18 months a 800cc powered parallel twin motorbike will complete Husqvarna’s line up bridging the gap between the nimble single cylinder 701 and this big bore roadster.
