The BMW Heritage lineup is going to expand during 2017.
After the R nine T Roadster and R nine T Scrambler two other R nine T based models are near to reach the production line in 2017. Namely, the R nine T Pure and the R nine T Racer.
These bikes will be unveiled at Intermot and EICMA expositions next fall.
To be honest we are a bit surprised. According to our informations in fact, the Motorrad guys were supposed to deliver three new models instead of two:
a basic model, an off roader  and a cafè racer.

Now appears that only two of the pack will become real in the foreseeable future. There is no official declaration about it, but seems that the Cafè Racer is not scheduled for 2017.

The Pure.
The R nine T Pure will be the cheapest R nine T. Nevertheless possibly the more fascinating. Someone said less is more?
It should be a basic model for the clients that most desire to customise their bike. The Pure will represent a blank canvas open to customisation. If the R 5 Homage will be inspiration for it, it is good news.

The Racer.
In one hand, we would expect the Racer to be a Cafè Racer. Sounds appropriate, don’t you think?
On the other hand the Bmw R nine T Racer will almost certainly be the Dakar-esque version of the R nine T.
The official concept Lac Rose unveiled at Wheels & Waves festival in June 2016 hints what the bike should look like. Fair enough.
