Joint ventures announcements, merges and companies acquisitions are always more frequent.

As some sources report in these days, the Indian giant Mahindra would be keen to buy an historical motorcycle company between Norton and BSA, while the Brits of Matchless are currently rising founds to make their Model X Reloaded finally reach the production line.

Rumor has it Polaris Group is in talks with Giovanni Castiglioni president of MV Agusta. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer is looking for a solid financial partner before the end of July 2016.
Polaris already proved its abilities recently, relaunching the historical Indian Motorcycles during the last few years. Moreover Polaris and has shoulders large enough to invest money to make a fascinating brand like MV Agusta, enter in their group. In addition during the last few years, Mv Agusta invested a lot of money (a little too much indeed) into the R&D department, so they need financial help but have a fresh lineup and some new projects in advanced development stage. Just think about the new Brutale 800 unveiled at EICMA featuring their high performance 3-cylinder 800cc engine, or their incoming new 4-cylinder 1000 cc platform.
The new Brutale 1000 is a brand new project that develops some elements appreciated on the MV Agusta Dragster like the spoked wheels and the license plate placed on the rear wheel with a dedicated design and, above everything, it features the new inline four engine featuring roughly 180 hp.
The new Brutale 1000 2017 will offer also a full led headlamp and cornering ABS. While electronic suspensions and the spoked wheels with the RR trim. Traditional ones in the “base” R trim.
Reportedly, MV is also considering a 190mm rear wheel as standard but to homologate a 200mm version as option.
According to our sources, this image hints the main bike features but the style definition of some elements is still in progress. In fact the rear part of the frame supporting the seat is expected to feature a hollow part inspired by the new Brutale 800's one.
